Frequently Asked Questions

Tai Chi Chuan is a Chinese martial art created 300 to 400 years ago.
Its principles are radically different than those of Shaolin or Karate,
because Tai Chi is practiced slowly, it emphasizes relaxation, and
it forbids the use of strength.

Fu Style differs from other styles for a number of reasons. First, because
Fu Style contains Tai Chi, BaGua, XingYi, Baji and LiangYi Chuans, the
principles of these “sister arts” find their common threads in Fu Style.
Second, Fu Style has been painstakingly developed, both physically
in its movements with bending, twisting, lifting, and numerous waist
skills; and by its development of the learning progression across the
beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

You can learn from classes or from the DVDs. The most important
part of learning Fu Style is the actual practice of the movements
and forms.
